Big Grin My Troubles With Wp Styles
Everything started in the late 90's. I needed to put some news on my internet site. A journal. A listing of future events. I started with basic HTML. One page, with parts for each and every post. Basic.

Then I found out about 'blogs' and 'blogging.' Being smart, I picked Wordpress, the most used application. How smart, I thought. For different ways to look at this, people may view at: <a href="http://www.fpvaustralia.com/forum/discussion/194238/low-glycemic-index-diets-are-far-better-then-higher-protein-diets">http://www.surfline.com/company/bios/index.cfm</a>. Anyone could put up a web site, If you have the WYSIWYG editor going. Very democratic.

This prompted my to create my outermost thoughts; o-n London, politics, and personal gripes. As a web-master, I watched to see Google index them. 'Here we go', I thought, 'soon, my jewels of extrospection will fit in with the ages.'

Except Google did not like my website. It would maybe not index much beyond the leading page. Why, why, why?

Duplicate material? I set it to place only 1 post per-page.

No progress.

I looked over what Google was indexing. Then I looked at the HTML. Be taught further on <a href="http://hhhsda.com/vanilla/discussion/236078/just-how-to-correct-a-continuously-rebooting-computer">surfline</a> by navigating to our dazzling paper. Shortly, all became clear.

In sum:

- Wordpress was however duplicating my material, and

- It had no right META-TAGS, and

- There is a lot irrelevant HTML, and

- The lay-out obscured this content.

I'd a fast search o-n Google to locate search engine marketing tips. There's a plug-in 'head-meta explanation' ( http://guff.szub.net/plugins/ ). But I did not use that, oh no.

For whatever reason, I got the idea a complete style will be the ticket. I tried changing an existing one myself. Better, but not perfect. Google was needs to index more pages, but they all had exactly the same name. My missives to an uncaring world were being overlooked.

So I got someone else to accomplish one, according to my conditions, which were:

- Grab a META 'name' from the blog post 'title';

- Grab a META 'description' in the website 'excerpts';

- Put a ROBOTS 'noindex' draw in non-content pages.

But that was not enough. For best SEO results you have to manage Word-press brutally. You have to be _mean_ to it. You've to _man_ enough.

I did a little of re-search and developed to following ideas.

WARNING: They're severe. Making radical changes to-your URLs may influence them, In the event that you have good rankings. In my case:

- Moving my website http://www.ttblog.co.uk to-the root web service,

- MOD_REWRITING its URLs, and

- Removing a 301 re-direct,

... caused my PageRank to visit 0. BUT, site indexing was untouched.

This is temporary, as Google found it as 'suspect' behavior. I had radically changed my site.

Listed here are the tips, for true _men_, who will try looking in the face area of internet death and laugh:

1. Trigger permalinks when you go to 'Options/Permalinks.' You might have to enable Apache MOD_REWRITE on your own web account.

1a. Lessen the permalinks rule to just-the variable. Do not work with the time codes. To learn more, consider taking a gaze at: <a href="http://www.sifangtongda.com/guaranteed-in-full-us-government-grants/">clicky</a>. This keeps your URLs small.

2. Position your site in the listing possible. http://www.ttblog.co.uk surpasses http://www.ttblog.co.uk/wordpress/

Therefore a normal post would appear to be

http://www.ttblog.co.uk/Im-hard-as-nails-me/

rather than

http://www.ttblog.co.uk/wordpress/2006/0...-nails-me/

3. Then install an SEO'd theme.

My blogs are now indexed beautifully. The Google 'site:' command returns all my posts, and little else.

For my next problem, I accept Windows XP, and change it into an operating-system..
